Speaker information (for public page) Ryan Schultz is a US lawyer with significant experience helping clients litigate claims across the United States and the world. As VP, Business Development, he works with claimants and leading lawyers around the world to identify opportunities for investment, including claims holding corporations accountable for their failures in ESG. Clients and lawyers look to Ryan’s extensive expertise in evaluating cases in combination with his proven track record handling cases through jury trial and appeals in determining which opportunities have significant value.

Prior to joining Woodsford, Ryan was a Partner in the Intellectual Property & Technology Group at Robins Kaplan, LLP, a preeminent trial law firm in the US. Ryan represented plaintiff and defendant clients across a wide variety of technologies in various IP matters, including semiconductor, standard essential technology, medical device, mechanical, software, pharmaceuticals, and wireless protocols. Ryan helped clients monetize their IP assets in the US and around the world to provide maximize value. In addition to handling numerous patent matters, Ryan handled other intellectual property cases involving copyright, trademark, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of license. Ryan also litigated other commercial matters, such as breach of contract, bankruptcy, and tort claims.

Ryan obtained two B.S. degrees from the University of Minnesota: Biochemistry and Genetics. He obtained his law degree from the University of Cincinnati, where he was on Law Review and was an extern for the Hon. S. Arthur Spiegel of the Southern District of Ohio.
