ESG and Getting Ready for CA Climate Compliance

This panel will discuss the latest issues and what the construction industry needs to be aware of in regard to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and preparing for California Climate Compliance to help companies navigate the new climate disclosure requirements in California. The panel will cover the reporting obligations under the California climate legislation, including Senate Bill 253 (SB 253), which mandates annual public disclosures of greenhouse gas emissions for certain companies starting in 2026. Part of the discussion will be the impact of the changes in Federal regulations and laws, and how multi-national and multi-state companies will have to address compliance obligations in California and other jurisdictions. Some of the topics to be covered are the practical and pragmatic issues of data collection and reporting, legal and regulatory considerations, and best practices associated with risk management and ESG matters and associated corporate governance.
